Who we are
Cox & Sons Ltd — Enterprise & General Investments — is a registered private limited company headquartered in Torit, Eastern Equatoria State, Republic of South Sudan. Founded in 2023, the company was formed to provide dependable commercial and technical services to public institutions, humanitarian organisations and private enterprises operating in one of the region's most demanding environments.
The company operates four divisions: Trade and Import-Export; Construction and Infrastructure; Agriculture and Food Security; and Zoo and Wildlife Conservation. This structure allows Cox & Sons Ltd to respond to a broad range of requirements — from institutional supply contracts and rural road rehabilitation to commercial farming and conservation programmes — while maintaining a single line of accountability to the client.
Our approach is deliberately conservative: we commit only to scopes of work we can resource, we document our procurement and delivery, and we report transparently on progress and cost. This is the standard our clients in the government and development sectors are required to uphold, and we hold ourselves to it as a condition of partnership.

South Sudan's recovery and development agenda depends on a supply chain and contracting base that can operate in remote areas, absorb logistical risk, and still satisfy donor compliance requirements. Cox & Sons Ltd occupies the space between them. We are locally established with direct market knowledge and cost structures suited to the region, while operating as a formal corporate entity with registration, tax compliance, contractual capacity and financial records. For government bodies, NGOs and regional trade partners, this combination reduces both delivery risk and procurement risk.
Our medium-term objective is to consolidate our position as a preferred vendor in Eastern Equatoria, secure UN and international agency vendor certification, and extend our trade and logistics footprint across the East African corridor.

Our headquarters in Torit places us at a logistical advantage for both regional trade and field operations across Eastern Equatoria State.
Proximity to regional trade corridors
Torit sits on the route linking Juba to the Uganda and Kenya borders, giving us direct access to the Kampala–Nimule and Nairobi–Nadapal supply lines for imported goods and construction materials.

As the state capital, Torit hosts state ministries, county authorities and the field offices of major NGOs and UN agencies — the institutions we serve and coordinate with daily.
Access to agricultural hinterland

Operating from Torit rather than Juba shortens mobilisation time to project sites in Ikotos, Lafon, Kapoeta and Magwi, where access remains a constraint for most contractors.
